Summer Students Join the Weilers Team

Tochi Nwaokocha joined Weilers as a summer student in May 2019 and recently completed his second year at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law.  He has an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Lakehead University. While at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, Tochi founded his school’s chapter of the Black Law Students Association and currently serves as President of the Chapter. He also recently served as the Vice President External of his school’s Law Student Society.  Outside of law school, Tochi enjoys volunteering in the Thunder Bay community. He enjoys cooking and has a passion for sports, particularly the beautiful game of Soccer.  Tochi is excited to complete his Integrated Practice Curriculum at the firm in the fall of 2020.

Jacob Thompson began his career at Weilers as a summer real estate assistant after graduating from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy. Following his summer of employment with the firm, Jacob worked as a legal assistant while preparing his law school application and studying for the LSAT. Being born and raised in Thunder Bay, Jacob was proud to be accepted to the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law and completed his first year in April 2020. Weilers is happy to have him rejoin the team as a summer law student.
