WILLIAM W. PERRY

William is excited to join the team at Weilers, bringing with him an expanded legal education and a diverse work experience in northern Ontario.

Before entering the legal profession, William worked with organizations and communities across northwestern Ontario in the areas of healthcare planning and education. Seeing the issues that many municipalities and Indigenous communities face in our region, William decided to pursue a career in law and become an advocate in the North.

While attending law school at Lakehead University, William worked at local legal clinics that serve underprivileged individuals in civil matters, provincial offences, and landlord and tenant disputes. After graduating with a Juris Doctor degree, he continued his legal formation at McGill University’s Master of Laws program. William’s current interests are in civil litigation, contracts, municipal law, human rights, and Indigenous legal issues.

In his free time, William enjoys studying languages. He also attends local arts and community events with friends and family.
